Electricity and Oil Power Prices Continued to Grow Worldwide

Among the few things make the Germans lose their coolness are the high prices of gasoline and oil. The price of oil recently increased more than ever before, the price of gasoline is expected to result soon. Soon, an old Greens dream will be fulfilled, that the price of gasoline must cost 5 marks of litre, so they once put the Greens at a convention 23 years ago to make the use of the vehicle to the Germans unaffordable. But this step was not well received, it was hard then that this party managed to enter Bundestag.

An almost forgotten episode, while the Greens are now ahead of the moment to enter the government for the second time in their history. But this time the situation is very different.

As a result, an extraordinary increase in hunger for energy: We know a strong demand increases prices.

But like this time it never happened: Only the price of majority gas has increased by 44% this year. Even the price of oil has increased to high levels by doubling within a year.

Basically these are good news, of course not for drivers, but for turning the economy into climate neutrality. / DW
