Activist Arta Avdiu says today's police action in the north is a continuation of the use of this campaign security institution.
She writes:
The police have always been in service to politics and government in the past, but never in size. These shares in the north in time of the campaign are talking about what level this government has taken to instrumentizing an important institution like the Kosovo Police. Never has it happened since the campaign went to the north so often. I challenge everyone to speak for a wave of police action in the north at a time when we are officially in the month of the election campaign. In the absence of good candidates, the government is using the police as a means to raise votes. This is immoral and unacceptable.
