The American Embassy in Pristina has reiterated calls for the closure of UNMIK's mission in Kosovo, redefining what US representative Jeffrey deL Ponte said yesterday at the UN Security Council.
The latest “developments again demonstrated that UNMIK has fulfilled its goal as defined in the original mandate. We must accept this reality and go towards closing it”, it says on the embassy's inscription on Twitter.
Even President Vjosa Osmani cautioned UNMIK's departure, clarifying in the UN that the organisation sided with Serbia and is contrary to decisions Kosovo institutions make.
