It was the police of the Venice Commissioner Garibaldi, who after an investigation learned that a man held a large amount of drugs in an apartment.
Police spotted the 45-year-old on board his car near Viale Monza, while delivering a red envelope to a 27-year-old Albanian also who, after being checked later, was found to carry two packets of heroin weighing about 1 kilogram.
After the ban, 45-year-old Albanian police found a total of 2,000 euros in the car, abcnews reports.
While after searching his apartment, 19kg of cocaine, 20kg of heroin, 160kg of mixed substance, 5,500 euros in cash, drug processing and packing material, a large metal cut, three microwave ovens, two large mixers, liquid chemicals and two gas masks were found. The seized drugs would have brought about 3m euros in profits to the market.
