Local elections in Kosovo are held on 17 October, and 17 municipalities have elected their mayors for the next mandate, in the first round.
Under the Law for Local Elections, if neither candidate wins more than 50 per cent of the vote, plus one vote in the total number of valid votes, then the CEC must organise the second round between the two candidates that have won the most votes.
Under this law, the second round is held four weeks after the first round was held.
Therefore, the date of the second round of local elections is November 14th.
