Officer example: He did not report the theft of his family in need, he paid for his own stolen food

Matt Lima was summoned to the “store Stop & Shop” on December 20, after the security said that a woman had not scanned everything they had taken with them.
The woman, who had two young children, was stopped while she was leaving the store.
I have two young girls and myself, as old as the two girls there, and that touched me a little bit,” said Lima.
Lima called the woman to talk to her outside so that the children would not listen to the conversation.
The woman I spoke to explained to me that she was working, but that the mother of the children did not work and had family problems and that what she had stolen was Christmas dinner for the children,” confessed police officer Lima.
He saw the bill to confirm the woman's words and found out that they had brought nothing but food.
It was obvious, that family was in need of help...” he added.
The policeman had never informed his wife of wrongdoing, and instead he had paid for the family's food. He had given them a check of 250 dollars in order to buy food at another store. /Periscope
