The deputy chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ahmet Isufi, voiced confidence that he will win about twenty deputies in the February 14th elections. While you see the party representing in the future government, Isufi says they will have no red lines with any political subject, but will insist at the end that the post of president meets party leader Ramush Haradinaj.
Isufi in an interview for KosovoPress says the AAK is better mobilised than other parties, and they expect vote hikes in early elections. Meanwhile, he stresses that he will expose all polls that are ranking Ramush Haradinaj's party in the polls.
“We are mobilised as AAK better than other parties and we expect a vote lift which will be solid for the AAK... in the polls we've all exposed because we have more than the polls we've seen. So again this time we plan to be an increase of deputies with a far greater number than they have been in the past because we are more practical, more dynamic and we offer more to the citizens of Kosovo... of course we will have about 20 deputies because the dynamics of our work have changed the ground”, Isuffy declares for Kosova Prees.
In addition, AAK deputy chairman says they have no red lines for any political party, and after the elections they will see all possibilities for co-operation.
“Alance has shown from the beginning that there are no red lines with other parties because we have seen them fade when it has interests. So the AAK is much more positive in this regard. We will form a coalition with a party which guarantees good governance, guarantees access to Kosovo citizens in improving their lives, and we are also parties that have no enemies, but partners in government... absolutely we political parties see as potential partners in government, we see them as engaged in the interests of Kosovo citizens”, he says.
Isufi claims the AAK has no votes for anyone else for president except Ramush Haradinaj.
“We have determined our candidate for president and do not play with opinion. Therefore, we have said that we will be part of government, at the same time we will demand that the president of the Republic of Kosovo be Mr. Haradinaj because it represents a more unifying opinion. Despite the position, the opposition has always taken a stand and has been more communicative than others. That's why it belongs to the president's position and we believe we will reach”, he said.
Following the Constitutional Court's decision on the worthlessness of government Hoti, early elections are expected to be held on 14 February.
