First - class drugs were found by border officials in a shipment of bananas, which was being transported by ship. The discovery of drugs took place during a routine check, writes the Daily Mail.
The cocaine seized by police weighed 946kg and was allegedly driven from Colombia, while the last destination is thought to have been a city in Belgium.
Internal Affairs Secretary Priti Patel said: “this was industrial drug trafficking, so I am glad that border officers prevented this large amount of dangerous goods from reaching our streets. ”
