One of the causes why some boys decided in the mid-1990s to take up arms against Serbia were scenes of beating Albanians at police stations. They were similar scenes in view of this young man's beating by a Kosovo policeman: they were told to stand by, then a policeman struck them, and the other policemen there stayed in the role of violent spectators. There is no doubt that Kosovo police have many deliquettes in their ranks, people whose uniform and belt gun makes them bully and aggressive. As there is no doubt that many cases like this young man is silent and hidden from the public. Such images have a certain effect: the continuation of the decline of confidence in the state of Kosovo.
