National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien, President Donald Trump's special envoy for Kosovo peace talks, Serbia, Richard Grenelli and President Trump adviser Jared Kouchner, described the signing of the economic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia as extraordinary.
Robert O'Brien said the agreement followed a major job under President Trump's leadership.
Serbia's “Conflict Kosovo is continuing for decades, they had been blocked and couldn't move forward for many years, and the president (Trump) long ago decided that we should try something new, end the blockade and move forward the peace process between Serbia and Kosovo”, said Mr. OwBrien.
While Ambassador Green warned in the past of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, he said, what happened at the White House is historic.
This is economic normalisation. It's the first step. I think Europeans will be very satisfied. We've talked on the phone several times with security advisers in Germany and France to announce them”, Mr. Green said.
President Trump's adviser, Jared Kouchner, said this agreement is another chapter that this administration has managed to write to make the world safer and more peaceful.
The current “returns are real historical and we had many such things this week”, Kouchner said, emphasising the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Israel.
Senior officials said the agreement included a range of issues that would create space for a better life for the citizens of Kosovo and Serbia.
Ambassador Green said the United States has not forced either side to do anything and has no demands, and much less any agreements that would affect territories.
“Never discussed in my presence”, said Mr. Green.
He said the issue of bilateral recognition, which was debated Thursday, has been left out because it will be contained in the European Union-brokered talks, which will continue on Monday, September 7th in Brussels.
What does the agreement contain?
The text of the agreement reportedly states that the parties will implement the agreement on the Belgrade-Pristina highway”, signed on February 14th of this year. Both sides will implement the agreement for the Belgrade-Pristina railway signed the same day.
It further stresses that the parties will devote a feasibility study to the possibilities of connecting the Belgrade-Pristina railway infrastructure to a port in the Adriatic.
Osova (Pristina) and Serbia (Belgrade) will work with the American International Finance Development and EXIM Corporation, in memorandums of understanding to life: The peace highway, the Pristina-Merdare railway connection, the Nis-Pristina railway connection, finance insurance for support of loans required for small- and medium-sized enterprises, etc.
The parties have also pledged to open and operation the facility at the joint border crossing at Merdara.
The two sides will join the “mini-Schengen area”, announced by Serbia, Albania and Northern Macedonia in October of 2019 and will take full advantage of it.
Both sides will recognise diplomas and professional certificates each other.
Both sides would agree to work with the US Department of Energy and other subjects of the American Government in a feasibility study, with the aim of joint use of Lake Weyman, as a reliable supplier of water and energy.
The text of the agreement says, among other things, that both sides will ban the use of 5G equipment, provided by incredible vendors, on their communication networks.
The parties also pledge to protect and promote religious freedoms, including the resumption of interreligious communication, the protection of religious objects, and the implementation of judicial decisions related to the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as the continuation of property returns without inheritance from the Holocaust period and the non-require Jewish property.
Both sides pledge to speed up efforts to locate and identify the remains of missing persons. The sides commit to identifying and implementing long and lasting solutions for refugees and internally displaced persons.
Both sides will work with 69 countries, which the homosexuals consider a crime, to derimitate it.
Both sides pledge to declare Hezbollah terrorist organisations and to fully meet measures to limit the operations of that organisation and financial activities under their jurisdiction.
Kosovo, said in the text of the agreement, agrees to implement a one-year rhetoric not to seek new membership in international organisations. Serbia agrees to implement a one-year rhetoric on its campaign to withdraw recognitions of Kosovo and will refrain from formal or informal demands on any country or international organisation, not to recognise Kosovo as an independent state.
The text of the agreement is said that Kosovo and Israel agree to recognise each other, while Serbia will move its embassy to Jerusalem.
