Hoti meets with European Parliament President, discussed lifting visas

Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, during his official visit to Brussels, has been hosted today at separate meetings by European Parliament President Mr. David Sussol, of the members of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as the Friendship Group for Kosovo, which consists of members of the European Parliament.
At these meetings with the top representatives of the European Parliament, Prime Minister Hoti has called for Kosovo citizens to be allowed as soon as they move freely to the Schengen Zone, stressing that Kosovo has already met all criteria for visa liberalisation and is continuing to prioritize fighting corruption and rule of law.
Prime Minister Hoti has notified President Susssol of the government's commitment to economic development, fighting corruption and empowering the rule and law, as well as managing the situation with the COVID pandemic 19. He thanked EU institutions for the assistance provided in coping with the situation with COVID 19.
Prime Minister Hoti has thanked President Susssoli for his support of Kosovo on European roads, stressing that Kosovo is committed to its European agenda and has for years continued its work on meeting all criteria.
Kosovo's “European and Euro-Atlantic integration remains the most important strategic goal for our society. European values are embedded in our society and these values are the foundation of my country”, Prime Minister Hoti has said.
During this meeting, Prime Minister Hoti cited the visa issue, hoping this topic will be on the agenda of the European Union Council during the German presidency and will soon be completed.
Also, Prime Minister Hoti has attended the European Parliament-led Committee for Foreign Affairs meeting. David James McAllister. Prime Minister Hoti is addressing members of the Committee with a speech in which he has unveiled Kosovo's goals on the road to Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as calling on MEPs to support Kosovo in this direction.
In the course of these meetings, Prime Minister Hoti has attended as a special guest at the First Friendship Group for Kosovo meeting in the European Parliament. This meeting with the Eurodeput has been organised by Eurodeput Lucas Mandle, whom Prime Minister Hoti thanked for his commitment to bringing Kosovo closer to the European Union with particular emphasis on the visa liberalisation process.
