German prosecutors on Friday opened the investigation into murder after the incident in the town of Dusseldorf, writes the Daily Mail.
The woman who suffered from severe illness returned from the hospital on the night of September 11th to University Clinic in the western city and died after the ambulance left for Wuppertal, 30 miles [30 km] from hospital where treatment was not possible.
Prosecutor Christoph Hebbecker, leader of the cybercrime unit in Kiln, said he has launched investigations into murders by unknown people. If investigations lead to indictment, this would be the first case in which a person dies directly from cyberattack.
The information technology operations of this hospital are still affected by the attack, and it is not possible to accept patients who behave by ambulance, a Friday report said.
The Federal Information Security Office, which is the National Agency for Cyber Security, has been called upon to protect hospital computer systems.
