AstraZeneca has already begun producing 30 million doses of coronavirus vaccine, which has been developed in collaboration with researchers at Oxford University.
According to The Guardian, vaccine has not yet been approved for use until it is still subject to testing in Great Britain, Brazil, and South Africa.
Meanwhile, Andrew Pollard, director of the Oxford Vaccinate Group, had declared last month that Oxford vaccine could result in success even before the final launch.
The vaccine, which is developed by a chimpanzee virus, proved successful in its second phase of testing, which was held in Great Britain.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that the production of vaccines by AstraZeneca has already begun, well before any approval is given.
“We already ordered 30 million doses of vaccine from AstraZeneca, until their production has begun, prior to approval”, he said.
