Through a video message, Dole has expressed gratitude for the inauguration of the bust in Pristina.
I'm sorry I can't be with you on the bus inauguration, it reminds me of 30 years ago. Thirty years we've worked to create a strong state and I hope you will continue to work on becoming even stronger”, Dole said.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said it is a special honor to discover the bust of a person like Senator Bob Dole.
“Senator Dole is the first to have visited Pristina and President Ibrahim Rugova in the most difficult times”, Hoti said.
Construction of Senator Bob Dole's bust was made by the renowned artist Luan Mulliqi, while the project was financed by the American Oda in Pristina.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Melisa Haradinaj- Stubula on Sunday has unveiled the memorial plaque in honour of this anniversary at “Mother Teresa”.
Former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Madeline Albright and now Bob Dole, are the personalities who have been bused in Kosovo's capital.
