French minister sided with women who want to be naked on the beach

All three officers intervened on a beach in Saint-Marie- La-Mer after a family complaint during the holidays.

Supporting women, Minister Gérad Darman said: Freedom is a precious”.

He said it was a mistake from the police that women were asked to wear clothes.

Pyrenees-Orientales police said the incident occurred last week.

Two officers urged three women on the beach to cover their breasts, following a request from a worried family for the children present.
