Comments come when the number of Coronavirus infected in one day in the United States has passed 50,000 for the first time.
This seems to have changed President Trump's stance on protective masks.
I think masks are good”, Trump told Fox Business.
“People have seen me in a mask”, he added.
Trump has been criticised for his resistance to wearing a mask.
But, as the number of cases increased in the last few days, he said: “if I were in a close situation with people, I would absolutely wear”.
The United States has the largest number of Coronavirus infected and victims -- over 2.7 million, over 128,000, respectively.
According to Johns Hopkins University data, over 10.7 million people are infected worldwide.
Of them, over 517,000 have died and over 5.5 million have been healed.
Last week, the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebresus, has said that No warranty that scientists will be able to detect an effective vaccine against Covid-19, the disease caused by the Coronavirus.
