Kosovo's Constitutional Court has abolished the Law for Salaries on June 30th, as it is not in line with the Constitution. Under the Constitutional Court ruling, public officials will not receive increased salaries under the Law, which was adopted in 2019.
On December 6, 2019, the Law on the Salat at the Constitutional Court had sent the ombudsman to assess his compliance with the Constitution. The salary law was passed in February that year. This law regulated salary increases by 70 percent of public sector workers, while 30 percent remain abroad.
