President Hashim Thaci's political adviser, Blerim Shala, has issued a clarification Friday, following the interview given in “Rubikon”, and in response to various interpretations that, according to him, were outlined later. “
Richard Greenell, the Special Emissar of President Trump for Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, remains fully committed to contributing to the final phase of talks between the Pristina and Belgrade authorities, to reaching the comprehensive agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, writes Shala.
According to him, “The White House views it as vital for the long-term stabilisation of the Western Balkans to reach this agreement, and the role of President Trump's Administration is irreplaceable for Kosovo and Serbia to reach a successful epilogue of the final phase of talks”. Shala has said that “Richard Grenelli as the White House Special Emissar will continue to play his most important role in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia's highest institutions, as has been the case since autumn of last year, when appointed by President Trump in this very important task”.
