Matosh praises Professor Hajrullah Gorani: He was patriotic and courageous

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Halil Matosi has reacted to the death of the professor and the first trade union in Kosovo, Hajrullah Gorani.

Matoshi, by means of a Facebook text, has recalled a few moments of knowing the deceased Gorani.

The Professor Gorani did not advertise political slogans, but recognized the analytical sense and, above all, civic courage.

Dr. Hajrullah Gorani, I met him in the late '80s, more specifically in 1989, when he organized the first overall union.
It was the first free union after “Solidarno~” in Poland's Gdańsk with the leader Lechlesa.

Gorani on September 3rd 1990 organised the strike and recognised it as a protest against Serbia's systematic terror, against the Kosovo workshop.
After that strike he was arrested and held a month in prison, and we, Blerim Shala, Bardh Hamzaj, and I, were more solidarizu with him, counting the days of the prison at the house daily.

Prof. Dr. Hajrullah Gorani, was arrested in February 1950 by the UDB, while after several months the cruel abuse in secret collusions in September 1950 at the District Court in Pristina is sentenced to six years in prison by Albanian judges.

Mlka joined Professor Gorani, although not dendu, but together we were part of the Kosovo Alternative delegation that we were invited to witness on the Committee for Human Rights at the American Congress in April 1990. Economics professor, the first Kosovo chief unionist, was a quiet and hot man, but saw the sense of the move.
Then, in 1990, we were with him when he came to Ljubljana, where we were the station of a group of Albanians who had been afflicted by the Yugoslav UDB, who in Slovenia either did not function according to the Belgrade dictatorship or was being exhausted.
He was with us at the time and Ukshin Hotidge together we published the newspaper “Republic” and then Uka started the paper “authentic democracy”.

The 89-year-old professor died quietly, surrounded by his family, fulfilled in life, which he did not send down, but was put into service of national freedom.
His life-life century was rich, from antiregist rebels to university professor and political activity in inactivity.

He fully withdrew from public life after Kosovo's liberation and lived quietly, considering his mission fulfilled.
Freedom may never be enough, but Hajra gave much.
In all the stages of this war, he did not back off but stood in the front row.
