KMDLNJ through a reaction said it understands that due to the small number of tests, authorities cannot conduct large-scale tests. But according to the Council, those who have positive family members with COVID-19, the disease causing the Coronavirus, must be tested.
“To KMDLNJ is unacceptable, unintelligible, and punishable, both from the human rights and the legal side if tests are not done, even mandatory in cases such as: when in a family they are affected by COVID-19 while members living with them are not tested; when there are cases that in the same family there are members with serious chronic diseases; when symptoms are clear that they are affected by the <x1 virus, the KMLDNJ response is said.
This council has also asked health authorities to point out correctly the cause of the death of people affected with COVID-19, in order not to cause confusion in opinion.

KMDLNJ has demanded that the number of tests increase, meanwhile, by the Kosovo government has also sought to share additional tools both for the purchase of new tests, but also for health workers.

Authorities in Kosovo have also announced that they learn to buy 100,000 virological and serological tests for coronarys.
So far, the Institute alone has been authorised to conduct virological tests for coronarys, but through an administrative directive, the Ministry of Health, this week it has announced that tests for coronarys could also be conducted by private health institutions.
According to the latest data, 5,617 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Kosovo. Of them, 130 patients have died and 2,811 have recovered.
