Prime Minister Hoti said fighting pandemic remains a priority for the government he leads. He pledged that they have begun preparations to provide another 100,000 serial tests, in case there are second waves of the spread of the David-19 pandemic.
We're probably starting a second wave of pandemic. Health experts' estimates say the general closure of people has prevented the spread of Covid artificially. We are getting ready for a very large number of serial and virological tests”, Hoti said.
He said that once the budget is approved in the Kosovo Assembly, additional measures of the fiscal package will be processed and the payments completed.
We expect that if we don't deepen the pandemic we will complete the year with 2.3 economic downturns in the country... we expect that this year and the future to mobilise 1.2 billion euros in funds”, Hoti has added.
That's what he said during the debate organised by the Riinvest Institute, where the report “Association with COVID-19 is being presented: Three pillars of recovery”.
Alban Hashan from the Riinvest Institute said this report aims to contribute to a debate about how to get out of this economic crisis as a result of the Devid-19 pandemic.
Because of many factors the fiscal package has not been fully implemented, which has not accomplished its effect. The epidiomological situation, and as a result, economics are being observed in this three - month period. If the programme for economic recovery is revised, economic contraction could be contained. The impacts so far on the economy are huge, especially in the absence of sales”, he said.
Muhamet Mustafa from Riinvest said this report is trying to bring business concerns to the epidrence during this time. He has indicated that 35 businesses have been interviewed.
