Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti is calling on all parliamentary groups to set out budget passage sessions as soon as possible so that the entire package of economic recovery can be implemented.
The executive head is vowing to stay close to all farmers, where part of the economic recovery will be doubling subsidies to agriculture.
That is what he said during Suhareka's visit to Siroka at the start of Kosovo's harvesting campaign, where he added, among other things, that this year has been serious for Kosovo, taking into account the pandemic situation.
I expect the budget to pass to the Kosovo Assembly as soon as possible. Complete implementation of the package for economic recovery, including the share of agriculture, begins. In this case I beg all parliamentary groups, all MPs, to be organized at this time of the pandemic. I know that some deputies are affected by this and the staff of the assembly. But find ways, and find forms of how to hold a session of the assembly, so as soon as the budget and international agreements are passed that are related to the financial recovery fund”, Hoti has declared.
And Agriculture Minister Besian Mustafa said that today they are in Shirok, Suhareka, to take a closer look at the start of the 2020 harvest season. He pledged that this year they will help subsidise different agricultural wheat and cultures.
We are at Nisret Bajraktari, whose Nisraktari and all the farmers in Kosovo wish them luck for 2020. We hope that they will have a pleasant, high crop productivity this year. The Ministry of Agriculture will also help with the subsidisation of grain and 26 slaughtered agricultural cultures, including the share of grants totaling 53m euros in grants and subsidies from the agriculture ministry for agriculture in Kosovo”, Mustafa said.
Suhareka Mayor Bali Muarremaj expressed satisfaction with this year's productivity, appealing to the ministry once more quickly to split subsidies.
“Diku behaves from 4.5 tons to 7 tons. Farmers are satisfied, I appeal to the minister that once again, the sooner the subsidies are divided”, Muharremaj said.
Nisret Bajraktari, who owns “Site Farm”, said he is pleased with this year's productivity, but not with the support of the municipality and the central level.
We expect subsidies, otherwise from the municipality until today we have had no subsidies, no aid. But at least from the ministry, I believe we will hope in the future to help us. Otherwise, with this task taken, it's hard to find”, Bajraktari stressed.
