It is expected to pass a several-week period before the Kosovo Assembly is put to the polls the Economic Recovery Bill, which only appeared on Wednesday this week in public consultation.
If this bill passes to the Assembly, there will be benefits and facilities for businesses and citizens. Eight laws are meant to change through it.
With changes initiated by the Ministry of Finance, citizens through this bill will be able to attract 10 per cent of their pension savings to the Kosovo Trust.
On this issue, the Ministry of Finance had announced to citizens that they would not be compensated for the amount drawn by the Trust.
The Ministry of Finance will inform Kosovo's citizens that the Government of Kosovo, under the programme for economic recovery, has also seen the withdrawal of 10 per cent of savings from the Trust of Pensions. However, citizens who attract 10 percent will not be compensated by the Government for the withdrawal sum”, said the MF's response.
In this regard, Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti had said that change of Law for Pension Funds would be required in order to make that possible.
