Daciq: Will sign any agreement with Kosovo that is in Serbia's interest

Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ivica Dacic, has indicated that he has temporarily banned the campaign against Kosovo's recognitions, and this has been done because Kosovo authorities have pledged that they will not apply for membership in any international organisation.

Daciq in an interview for Serbian newspaper “Blic” has indicated that if Kosovo does not abide by this pledge, then as he stressed, Serbia will return the campaign, broadcast news.net.

“We have temporarily halted the campaign of attracting Kosovo recognitions because Pristina has also pledged that it will not hold a campaign for recognition and membership of Kosovo in international organisations. We don't believe they'll stick to it. And we are willing to continue if they break the deal. With this move, we have reduced the number of countries that recognise Kosovo to less than half of UN members, and today they can get 92 votes from 193 for them to the best. That's why there's a huge thorn on their side”, Dachic said.

Asked whether any agreements are being prepared between Kosovo and Serbia, this deal could be signed at the end of the year, Dacic has said he is still far from reaching such an agreement.

We're far from this. No one knows what should be written in the agreement, nor has it been discussed. If I understood correctly, it will be discussed by September”, Dachic stressed, broadcast the news further.net.

He has reiterated in this interview again that, the only solution between Kosovo and Serbia is demarcation.

However, asked that such a thing is opposed to Germany, Dachic has said Germany's opposition should not influence at all.

The fact that Germany is against us should not affect us at all. Deportation is the only possible and realistic option. It does not require additional problems, such as population displacement. Let me remind you, all opposed the early recognition of Croatia and Slovenia, so Germany and Austria were the first to do so and were recognised”, Dacic stressed.

But, Dacic, has pledged that Serbia will sign any agreement that is in the interest of the Serb people in both Kosovo and Serbia.

“If it is in the interest of Serbia and the people of Kosovo, yes”, Dacic responded to the question of whether to sign any agreements with Kosovo.

But as for the Serbian opposition, if I support such an agreement, Dacic has said that given the logic of the Serbian opposition, nothing will support it.

“Oposor, what is it? Which opposition? One shouts “Kosovo is independent”, the other shouts out “no road in the EU”, third “has no way of signing the demarcation agreement”. Given the opposition's logic, they will not support anything Vuciq” does, Dacic responded.
