He has said that the people of the US and Kosovo have many common values and attributes.

In America as in any country, democracy is not a sport of spectators. Democracy requires the citizens' active commitment and persistence. It also requires honesty and humility to address our weaknesses and to learn from our failures”.

This is a time of turmoil and anxiety in America but also a time of hope. I hope an irreversible, positive change can come with an engaged citizen. And the same can be said for Kosovo”.

The people of the United States and Kosovo have many values and attributes. Our people are strong and intelligent, creative and compassionate, resourceful and flexible. As friends and partners, we responded when we needed each other. We stayed together to make Kosovo independent, following the 11 September attacks in the fight against global terrorism”.
