Velimirovic is known as one of Montenegro's key witnesses to the special prosecution in the coup plot trial in this country during parliamentary elections in 2016, where the assassination of then Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic was scheduled.
On the basis of his testimony, more than 13 people -- Serbian and Russian citizens -- were convicted and received many years of imprisonment, including former Serbian gendarmerie commander Bratislav Dikic.
