Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Enver Hoxhaj said that he, as deputy of the Republic of Kosovo's deputy, is unaware that someone is willing to abolish the Specialised Chambers.
Hoxhaj, said Kosovo as a country is acting with dignity and addressed both MPs, saying that “as friends of Kosovo and as my friends, it is wrong to make political prejudices from Berlin”.
“As deputy, I'm not aware that they want to abolish the Specialised Chambers, and that no one is spreading this disinformation. As a country, we are acting with dignity. As friends of Kosovo and my friends, it is wrong to make political prejudices from Berlin.”, Enver Hoxhaj wrote on the social Twitter network.
Rapporteurs for the Western Balkans on the Bundestag Foreign Committee from CDU/ CSU, Peter Beyer and Christian Schmidt have come out today with a public statement on the raising charges against Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and PDK leader Kadri Wessel.
Through the statement they said developments in Kosovo are being followed closely in Germany, while stressing that the Special Chambers are constituent institutions of the Kosovo judicial system and are not a foreign legal body that judges Kosovo citizens.
Beyer and Schmidt also speak of efforts within the Kosovo Parliament to abolish the Special Prosecutor's legal base.
