Kosovo University Clinical Centre (QKUK) holds the acceptance ceremony of the 40 ventilators' donation from the part of Kosovo's EU assistance to fight Coronavirus
Health Minister Armenmen Zemaj, thank the European states that are helping the country at this time of pandemic.
Zemaj said the MS is doing everything in fighting the virus and in the proper distribution of health equipment.
We accept such a donation that helps health and combat pandemic and cope with it as a whole. I am grateful for European citizens, and especially their representatives for the work and engagement in Kosovo to come to the aid of the Kosovo people”.
“MS with all its instances is doing everything we can to have co-ordination and to increase supervision of their distribution at their destination”, Zemaj said.
SSKKUK Director Basri Sejdiu argued that this assistance at this time cannot be measured with money.
I thank the ambassadors a special favor to receive a donation when we need it. Ventilators are 20 today and 20 coming tomorrow for everyone in need. The value is great when it's dedicated at this time, we can't measure this aid by money”, he said.
UNDP representative in Kosovo Maria Sukoko praised this readiness at this time of pandemic.
I wish you this help call for the Ministry of Health for pandemic. Thank you for the contribution Switzerland, Norway and Luxembourg. I am happy for this readiness at this time and partnership”, she said, EO reports.
Norway's ambassador to Kosovo, Jens Erik Gerendahl, said it is a sign that the states of Europe are ready to help Kosovo.
I am happy that these ventilators have come to Kosovo and help fight the pandemic. This is a sign that we are ready to help the Government of Kosovo. I'm glad to be here for you”
Switzerland's ambassador to Kosovo, Jean-Hubert Lebet, thank his partners for enabling this donation to Kosovo.
“U n NDIP. I thank the ambassadors for their cooperation. This is good news mostly for Kosovo I am happy, but not much, but that means something”.
Ambassadors of European states were contributing to the 5m-euro assistance for Kosovo in fighting the Devid-19 pandemic.
