Ali Ahmeti: Time for First Albanian Prime Minister in Northern Macedonia

DUI Chairman Ali Ahmeti through a video link has been addressed with a message to the Albanians of Northern Macedonia, with whom he is asked to support his request for the election of the first Albanian prime minister in northern Macedonia.

This is the time. It's time to come together, time to act together again. This is a call for all Albanian parties and all Albanian citizens and others to support our cause, which is greater than all of us”, he says, and after mentioning Albanians' achievements in this country, he calls out: “is the time for the first Albanian prime minister in Northern Macedonia! ”

Brothers and sisters!

Everything has a beginning. It all starts with a dream. We all have our dreams, for our children, for ourselves, for our country.

We Albanians, we dreamed of freedom, equality, and we fought for this dream to become true.

Because when we believe in something, we're willing to sacrifice everything.

As Albanians, we have always known how to join common goals, when it has been important and crucial, during the war, during the crisis and during our unhindered efforts for equality and integration.

That is why we, together, have achieved much in our history as Albanians in northern Macedonia. The Ohrid Agreement is being implemented. Albanian already enjoys equal and formal status, as does our national flag.

Prespa's agreement has been signed and the constitution has been changed.

We are full NATO members and are negotiating for membership in the European Union.

Today, more than ever, Albanians run leading positions as judges of supreme and constitutional judges, defence and home affairs ministries, as well as key state institutions, along with parliament speaker.

However, that is not enough. Now is the time to keep dreaming. Bigger dreams, because it's time to get there.

Northern Macedonia is our country. The place we fought for.

We have an equal share in our history, heritage, economy and the future of our country.

Now is the time for full equality, for taking responsibility to lead!

It's time for the first Albanian prime minister in Northern Macedonia!

Some might call this an impossible idea. Some may even ridicule our faith in the realization of the dream of many Albanians.

That, however, is good. When someone denies your dream, it makes you work harder to do it.

When we dreamed of freedom in 2001, the same category of people also mocked and raised the white flag. And if only a few years ago we were to say that the day would come when the speaker of the northern Macedonia would be Albanian, many would not believe it as they do today.

Of course, many people would not have also believed that the Albanian language would be an official language in northern Macedonia or that the flag would wave free and that we would have three Albanian-language universities. But we, some of us who dared to reach out for dreams, knew we could make it out. We did this together. As we will now.

Together, we will write the story about making the future. Together we can show the world that our country can really be a society where everyone can realize their dreams and feel equal. A country where an Albanian or Albanian can become prime minister and be worthy leader guaranteeing permanent partnership with the United States of America and

The European Union.

This is what I want to enable our children and grandchildren:

The belief that we can achieve everything we dream about.

And for that, we have to be together!

This idea is much bigger than any party or person. This idea has nothing to do with DUI and certainly not with me. I'm here to carry on with the process, to cut the concept, to bridge it, and to make way by creating the circumstances for the realization of the dream, while it remains you to follow it. I sow, that you reap. I'm dreaming of you making it. I'm dare you do it.

When we are together, we are very powerful.

This is a national Albanian cause. This is our national dream. The dream of complete equality, the dream of a society that makes words work.

The first Albanian prime minister will be a prime minister for all.

A prime minister of equality: Equal jobs, equal wages. Equal rights and unselective justice. For Albanians and all. First Albanian Prime Minister to Be

He leads a new generation of politics, representing an equal society and leading northern Macedonia towards a prosperous future as a NATO and European Union member state.

A prime minister, who unifys and begins a new era, not only in Albanian history but also in the history of Northern Macedonia, even in the history of Europe.

Now's the time. It's time to come together, time to act together again. This is a call for all Albanian parties and all Albanian citizens and others to support

Our cause, which is greater than all of us.

Now is the time to make history together. It's not just a dream; it's our chance. It is our chance to build a new society in which our children can achieve everything they dream of.

It is time for the first Albanian prime minister in northern Macedonia.

For us, for our children and for our nation.
