During the pandemic period, Gastronomy's sector is the most vulnerable of all, for some reason, and also because government decisions are the first to set the ban.
The Pristina Gastronomous Association has said gastronomia in Kosovo is almost bankrupt. So this association has made some proposals for the government.
Because of this situation, in which we are practically bankrupt, our concerns are just growing as we expect the state to get the help needed to escape actual bankruptcy”, says the association, writes news.net.
After meeting with association members and business representatives of this industry, Kosovo maintains, following analyses, these businesses have co-ordinated the requirements for the government.
Gastronim demands are these:
- We're asking to be part of the work Protocol compiled after the opening of the premises, which must happen on the date 01.06.20.
- Involving and Financial Help in the Recovery Package
As for point one, we have already proposed these measures:
Open the premises to 01.06.20
The distance from the seat to the back seat, no more than 1.5m
Let's not sit more than four people at a table unless they're members of the same family community.
Make it easy on customers at every bar.
Let Staff be equipped with doses and masks
Don't serve at the bar

For point two, financial assistance and involvement in the recovery package, we've proposed as follows:
Continue of wage support for workers at least until December 2020
Subvention of 50% of local rent by December 2020
Current loan extension,
) Leave the High risk, to commercial banks in Kosovo
) Create new conditions for apps on soft loans with interest of up to 1.5% and with margins of period
) Change TV rates S from 18% to 8% for Gastronomial field
Other fiscal relief measures that will be put in co-operation with the government.
These are the measures we consider that our country has the capacity to cope, so we hope in understanding and support of the Government so that businesses, employees and their families survive this economic disaster.
