Behush Ibrahimi, now 38 years old, is a teacher in the lower cycle in Prizren's municipality. He reached 65 years of retirement on April 1st, but despite this he continues to hold a long - term lesson with his students.
Though the teacher Abraham continued to work, he did not receive a teacher's salary or a pension for these two months.
“... I retired on April 1st, since 16th, I have kept a long distance lesson with students and it's been a promise and an agreement that will be compensated, but so far I haven't received a salary or a pension this is a concern...”
In the same situation throughout Kosovo are about 250 educators who have filled retirement age and continue to work, as at the time of pandemic it was impossible to perform competitions for new teachers.
In this matter, education trade unions have asked the Government for their tutors to receive an addition to a teacher's salary.
“ ... if we knew our application was real, some 2 months they didn't get a pension, and the difference all around is 245 teachers, and the 3 month difference would have been 190 thousand euros extra euros, if how they receive their salaries”, said Ymer Ymer Ymer from SBASK.
The SBASK's request has met with consensus from the Government of Kosovo. In a telephone response, the adviser at the prime minister's office has noted:

With positive laws in Kosovo, teachers at the moment turning 65 years, automatically retire and their work contract is cut off.
