University of Pristina Rector Marjan Dema estimates wrong and harmful to students the decision of state institutions to convert the Student Centre as quarantine.
In an interview among Kosova priss, Rector Demaj has said that following the government's decision that students' facilities and dormitories will be converted into quarantine, student things including school literature have remained blocked.
And this, according to him, has markedly damaged students who have lost literature by making it difficult for them to prepare for the June exams.
This isn't managed in the best way because it's required by the Student Center, in collaboration with other organs, a strategy has been made to think about what if the pandemic lasts. I've asked the director of the Student Center to find a form for students to get those materials, because we're on the verge of June deadline, and students are unfortunately without literature... Even at this point, I appeal not only to the QS but also to the Government to find a form for students to be able to get their own things, especially literature”, he stated.
Dema says boarding is done without consulting the UP, until she stressed that this situation will cost the students a lot of success.
“Conviects are for students, they're going to study maybe have to seek alternative, not this, but as it may be, we're not consulted. It's really not managed well, and that's going to cost us the success of the students, which is going to be a Kurdicep”, he says.
The first of the University of Pristina says they are willing to organise the June deadline either online or physically.
“We are willing to organise the June deadline whether online or physically, even though we don't have any experience and we have some schools that have a large number of students, it's harder to organise online, but even students have physically asked to organise exams, but we're ready for both options”, Dema says.
Dema says they're prepared to take exams even in colleges by respecting distance.
“We're prepared that in these areas that we have even though in some schools we lack spaces to combine all spaces and on the basis of the restrictions that will be, we'll organize, so it means we'll work in smaller groups”, He says.
