Periscop journalist threatened by Kosovo police

When Periscope journalist Yllka Ahmetxejaj began researching an issue involving those released from quarantine to the Students' Centre in Pristina, she had not believed that they would be interrupted in half the work by Kosovo Police. Over the past few days, she was doing research to see if [...]
Over the past few days, she was conducting research to see if there had been possible violations by authorities in case of a citizen's quarantine.
Reporter Ahmetjekaj had talked with a citizen (known name for editorialism) and her father (also) who had even given her daughter's contact number.
But after these normal conversations she was mysteriously summoned by a Kosovo Police official who refused to identify herself, even though she indicated she was part of the Investigative Unit in Gjilan.
This one told Mrs. AhmetYekaj simply that “committed criminal acts” concerning contacting the citizen in question without telling what criminal act it was about, even though he mentioned the case of contacting the citizen mentioned earlier.
The journalist, wanting to understand more about the call, asked the renowned lawyer Arian Koci, who declared that “had performed no work” on the matter of contacting the citizen.
Periscop's editor-in-chief later called the Investigation Unit in Gjilan to understand more about the case, but they had no knowledge of the police's name that had made the call. Of course, it is incomprehensible how no records on official calls are kept in the police.
During the past months, Periscopi has received numerous attacks in the form of insults and threats from many citizens, but Kosovo police, despite the most public threats, have taken no action.
The obstruction in the work of journalists would have to be investigated by competent organs. Periscop will report the case to the Police Inspectors, not excluding even the possibility of commitment to the lawyer until the author of this threat is discovered. /Periscope
