Montenegro after the choreography: We are ready for tourists, prices will be cheaper

After 20 days without a chance of coronavirus, Montenegro declared Sunday closure of the epidemic situation by becoming the second country in Europe, after the Faroe Islands, emerging from the pandemic.

At the beginning of June, Montenegro is expected to reopen borders with Albania, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Greece, Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic said.

In a direct connection to Euronews Albania, Montenegro's Chairman of the Towns Nick Gilosaj said the situation in Montenegro is fully normalised and the country is preparing for opening borders with other states under certain established conditions in which the fact that they have 25 and fewer cases with COVID-19 in 100 thousand people.

Mr. Turkey highlighted the fact that Montenegro is a tourism-based state, so it is eagerly awaiting the opening of borders and the arrival of tourists through whom it hopes to restore the economy after the COVID-19 crisis.

He assured that from domestic operators there will be no price hikes, rather, according to Tuzi's chief commander, to make tourism in Montenegro this year could cost less than the previous years.

After a successful management of the situation, we will have a successful tourist season to achieve economic growth after the pandemic crisis.

As far as prices go in the opposite direction, as government measures have favoured businesses through different fiscal reliefs, making prices cheaper than last year to attract more tourists”, said Mr. Turkey.
