(7 days ago)The Supreme Court of Kosovo has approved the request for temporary security measures and has imposed the suspension of the promotion procedure in the Kosovo Police, which was announced on May 28th 2026 on the No Administration Base. 01-2026 for the Police Officials' Training Process.

An unacceptable intervention occurred in May 2026. When the election campaign was already under way, the Government issued an Administrative Guide that allowed for the promotion of police officers in completely wrong, unfair, discriminated against, and unprofessional form.
Many professionals responded immediately. But the rulers had just partisan goals, not the police station.
Police were party instruments for them, even though the police are and should be away from political parties.
Now, about a month later, the Supreme Court of NDALOI implemented this 012026 Administrative Guide, exactly some of its articles.
