Lekaj for VV: AAK doesn't make a coalition with the government of fraud

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) is viewing as pressure on the Constitutional Court the actions of the Vetevendosje Movement and the government in office, in terms of the decision on the president's decree to mandate Avdullah Hoti for prime minister.

AAK MP Paul Lekaj considers that despite the VV's actions, the Constitution will take fair action.

He says whatever decision this institution makes will be respected by the AAK.

“Yes, with actions made by the Vetevendosje Movement and Government in office, I think it's actions that are putting pressure on the Constitutional Court, but I think the Constitutional Court will make the right decision and we've been declared as AAK that whatever decision the Constitution takes, we will accept it because there is no other way, because as I said it is the highest judicial act”, Lekaj said.

The statements of incumbent Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu, who has said he cannot show whether they accept the Constitutional decision, Lekaj views it as absurd, EO reports.

“As far as the justice minister's statements are concerned, I think it's absurd because if there's someone who needs to be respected by the law and the Constitutional Court is the Ministry of Justice, that's why he doesn't want comment, because not to respect the highest judicial act is something even citizens should know and how they can support such a government<1>, Lekaj said.

In an interview for Online Economy, Lekaj has said the AAK will not join the VV if the coalition fails with the LDK.

He even considers the VV government as a government of fraud, which he claims is working at the expense of citizens.

We as AAK have stated that we do not consider any other requests in this mandate with the Vetevendosje Movement. We've told him because he's a government of fraud and you're looking at the actions he's taking on indiscretions of citizens and especially the broom he's using at 12 of the night, to make sense that this government has come to avenge itself on the boards and I think that in this direction it's wrong, but I hope that the citizen has finally become convinced that this government has come to avenge itself, not for the law that every time has worked”, he said.
