The increase in coronary cases in the Gjilan municipality has led President Lutfi Haziri to call emergency headquarters meeting tonight.
In this case it is decided that five families in Gjilan will be placed in self-syolization after the outbreak of nine new cases with COVID-19.
Also, all pediatric workers at the Gjilan Regional Hospital will be self-aware and the pediatric department will be provisionally closed, and from now on services will be offered through the QKMFs.
IK The KPS has confirmed that in the last 24 hours in the municipality of Gjilan there are nine new cases of COVID-19, of them 8 in Gjilan and a case in the Upper Livoc, which President Haziri said was a resident of Gjilan.
He said all cases are due to family contacts of a Gjilan worker who works at a private clinic in Pristina.
“Out of 28 taken samples, nine of them have resulted positive as a result of last night when a technical worker working a private hospital in Pristina has been infected and today her family members are also infected and, according to the contact later, has been distributed to three other pediatric workers, since one member of this family is a working officer of the Gianani” regional hospital, Haziri said.
He said that measures of self-isolation will be imposed for the five families affected by Corleone until the upcoming decision will be made by the Health Ministry.
The Committee for Administration Management and Civil Emergencys said it has control over the situation created by Coronavirus and that it will help within existing capacities families affected with food and hygiene packages.
It was also urged by citizens not to panic and continue respecting health institutions' recommendations for preventing the spread of COVID-19, as well as not to leave the city unnecessarily, otherwise there will be mandated fines.
In contrast, there are a total of 12 active cases in Gjilanus. 58 cases have been confirmed in this municipality so far, one with a fatal outcome.
