Coronavirus, over 30,000 Kosovars have lost their jobs

According to the Private Sector Workers Union, the number of those who have lost their jobs exceeds 30,000, KTV reports.

Those who have been out of work during this time cannot even receive compensation of 130 euros, as the emergency package predicts.

That is because companies are refusing to apply to the Kosovo Tax Administration, points out Yusuf Azemi, chairman of the Private Sector Workers Union.

However, in ATK, since March, over 1600 requests have been filed for people who have been unemployed.

According to the 8th Emergency Pack point, all those who were interrupted during the time of the pandemic compensate for 130 euros for the months of April, May and June.

This has not happened yet, but the Ministry of Finance and Transfers has said it is expected to be completed during the following days.
