This is the best result for which the American pharmaceutical company “Modernna” at Cambridge Massachusetts has announced on Monday.
At the moment this vaccine has been tested on eight patients. All of these have shown that they produce antibodies against the virus and these antibodies that were later taken from them can prevent the virus from being multiplied into human cells: The goal of an effective vaccine.
The company reported that the tests will continue from now on with an accelerated “riage”.
Within the next few days, tests will take place at over 600 people, until tests involving larger numbers of people continue in July.
If successful tests continue as planned, the Moderna company believes a ready-to-use vaccine can be expected by the end of this year or early next year. /Express/
