This prosecution body had officially announced that they have launched an investigation against Bahtir, under suspicion that it has committed criminal work “inciting division and not enduring”.
But, Mitrovica's Founding Prosecutor has no longer invited Agim Bahtiri.
That's what Bahtiri's lawyer, Tome Gashi, confirmed.
And Agim Bahtiri's statement had upset President Hashim Thaci as well.
He had even sent a letter to the chief state prosecutor, saying the Mitrovica president's statement was a direct threat to the president.
Besides, according to the head of state with these statements, Vetevendosje Movement member has attempted to change Kosovo's constitutional order, overthrow the country's highest institutions, prevent the president from exercising official office, as well as force the president not to perform official duties.
But all these claims by President Toma Gashi call them absurd.
According to him, Agim Bahtiri's statement is no criminal offence.
Meanwhile, T7 in this case has also sought clarification by the Founding Prosecutor in Mitrovica. spokesman Valon Preteni has confirmed that Agim Bahtiri was no longer invited to the prosecutor, while he has not given any more details.
