Bajrami for Constitutional: Any verdict against people's will would put Kosovo into a deep political crisis

Jurydic Professor, one of the founders of the Kosovo Constitution, Arsim Bajrami, has commented on the Constitutional Court's decision to suspend Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's decree for Avdullah Hoti as a prime minister. Bajrami has said the Constitutional Court's decision has been the right decision and has made Kosovo parties [...]

Bajrami has said the Constitutional Court's decision has been the right decision and has made Kosovo's parties stop violating the constitution.

“We must respect the Constitutional Court's decision, and any court ruling should be taken immediately, it is not allowed for anyone to take any action that is not in full compliance with the Constitutional Court's decisions. It has been a very positive act establishing the provisional measure because such a move has prevented constitutional deviations or further errors or breach of the Constitution and has given political parties time to lower their bloods and make some kind of abstention from breaking the Constitution”, he has said of the infocus.

He has said he expects the Constitutional Court to decide for election because he feels that the sovereign is the one who chooses and everything depends on the people.

Any other solution, according to Bajrami, would put the country into crisis.

I expect the Court to give an epilogue this job. Remember the almost same case in 2014 for VLAN, but I was also convinced that any verdict against the will of the people would put Kosovo into a deep political crisis”, he said.
