The deputy chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ardian Djind, says that following the Constitutional Court's decision on President Hashim Thaci's decree for the mandate of Avdullah Hoti for prime minister, the new Kosovo government could soon be established.

According to him, incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti has refused to submit the mandate's name, and this has produced a new situation.

I think the case is not that easy, but focused. Kosovo's Constitutional Court decision in 2014 has clarified that the president has the right to give the mandate to another party if the largest party fails to create the government what is not written about how long the first party has to submit its mandate. The situation in Kosovo is quite clear, Mr. Kurti has refused to send mandates, and is refusing to send mandates. Now the Constitutional Court must decide what the timing was or whether the circumstances in which the president has mandated Mr. Hotin to prime minister are in order. Mr. Kurt made it clear he didn't want to send a warrant, or he wants to be on his own or he'll go to the polls. The Constitution, however, gives the president and the Tentum to create new governments. After the Constitutional Court ruling, the government could be created very soon”, Djind said.

Asked whether the LDK-AAK-Nisma agreement would likely be viewed as the possibility of a pre-election coalition, Djind said they have not discussed the matter, while not exempting the possibility of co-governance with LDK at the local level.

We haven't talked about this issue if such a situation occurs then all political subjects see their options... I believe there's no reason not to happen but we'll see in the future”, says the AAK deputy chairman.

The AAK deputy chairman has also spoken of the Dukagjin Highway project, which has been among the AAK's main demands for the agreement with the LDK.

This year's “This year is impossible to start such a project, it's getting late there's a problem with finance even if they don't have a problem with finance is late. The budget has been voted without the Dukagjin highway. We have talked with the Democratic League of Kosovo to see the possibilities of building this highway, at lower costs, however possible. Duagjini needs vitally for this highway is half of Kosovo that has remained on the streets of the 1960s, 7050s. I think wrong was the insistence that shouldn't be built, and we want it to be done at as little cost, we don't want additional cost“, he stressed.
