Polls by Chicago University's Faculty of Theology and the NORC Associated Press Public Affairs Research Centre showed that people may be looking for deeper understanding in the COVID-19 pandemic, writes Anadolu Agency.
According to the survey's findings, 31 percent of faithful Americans believe that COVID-19 is a message from God who sent it to change mankind.
The percentage of colored Americans who believe that COVID-19 is God's command, without making educational, gender and income distinctions, is higher than other communities.
This view of African Americans protects 47 percent, Latin 37 and 27 of white Americans.
The number of people dead from COVID-19 in the United States has increased to 86,970, while more than 1.66 million have been infected.
