MP from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Arba Abashi, not mentioning names, has stated that the last few days “has been noted that some subjects have demonstrated the tendency to reject Constitutional Court judgments” in the case of the president's decree to mandate the LDK's Avdullah as prime minister.
After the Commission for Education, Abrashi has said it is good that the Assembly Committees have started working. He has told reporters that if anyone does not accept the Constitutional Court's decisions, it would not do well for Kosovo's constitutional system.
“Commissions are starting to gather and work with the competencies they have, the next disaster that hearings or assembly are not working at full capacity and this links with the no-confidence motion itself. We hope, without wanting it to sound like interference that the Constitutional Court, very soon will make the decision so that other processes and the functioning of the Government and the Assembly will open up... not only us as the LDK, but other parties must accept the Constitutional Court's decision. Now in the last few days or weeks, there are even my personal remarks that some subjects have not accepted decisions or displayed the tendency to reject decisions or to act on certain cases, and I think that this is not right and that it is not good for Kosovo's constitutional system and those who do not respect these decisions, these judgments, do not respect the Constitution, they are acting outside the constitutional order of Kosovo”, he said, the KP reported.
The president's decree for Hotin prime minister has been suspended by the Constitutional Court following the complaint issued by the former LDK partner Vetevendosje Movement. The LDK, after the collapse of Kurti Government, has signed agreements with the AAK, Initiative and AKR for co-governance.
