Since March 13th, when the first cases of COVID-19 in Kosovo were also marked, 955 positive cases were recorded with this pandemic. 29 patients have died while 691 people have been healed.
Also from February 8th to May 15th at the Medieval Microbiology Laboratory in IKSHPK with the RT- The PCR, a total of 11,178 suspicious samples of the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been tested.
264 cases continue to be active at the country level.
“From February 08th until May 15, 2020, at the Medieval Microbiology Laboratory in IKSHPK with RT- The PCR, a total of 11,178 suspicious samples in the SARS-CoV-2 virus were tested, and a total of 955 cases resulted, with a total of 29 cases of death that had other accompanying diseases. Meanwhile, Kosovo on May 18th enters the second phase of easing measures against the new COVIDD-19.
This was made known by incumbent Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti at a joint conference with incumbent Health Minister Arben Vitita.
Given the recommendation of health authorities, transition to phase two of easing measures against COVID-19 can continue as planned, it said at the joint conference.
Kurti said this transition to the new phase is a test and a major challenge.
