The burdened economic situation grew even more, especially among the most vulnerable people, those with small salaries working in the private sector, or entirely in the informal economy.

On social networks, meanwhile, disappointment over such a thing has erupted, demanding that these salaries be reduced during this economically heavy period for the country.
This has recently been demanded by the mitrovica publicist Nedmedin Spahiu, who demanded “halve” of salaries, for ministers, deputy ministers, deputies, judges, prosecutors, mayors and university professors.
Kosovo's government, meanwhile, is detailing a 171m-euro Emergency Pack to help the country's economy, but being criticised for ignoring that package of cleanup workers (who have recently warned even protests) and journalists (many of whom, even have left work in addition to reducing salaries).
