Official: LDK nominon Avdullah Hoti for prime minister

The Democratic League of Kosovo has already formalised the name of the Kosovo Government's mandated candidate.

As Periscope reported earlier, former Deputy Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti will be a candidate for prime minister.

The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo at today's meeting has decided that Avdullah Hoti will be the nominated of this party for prime minister.

LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa at the media conference said that although members entrusted him with the post of prime minister, the latter has declined for health reasons.

“It was the request of nearly all members that I take this responsibility because they considered their will and responsibility, I reasoned before the prosecution that I am unable to take this responsibility”, the LDK chief said.

He said some names have been discussed, but, in the end, it's set up for Avdullah Hoti.

We have discussed Avdullah Hoti, Lutfi Haziri, Cameron Shala, there are other names, by the will of all of us, that Mr. Hoti is nominated by the LDK chief, for prime minister”, he has declared.

We recall that Hoti had run for prime minister in 2017, where he had received only 112 thousand and 882. While in the last October elections, Hoti as an MP candidate had secured 250,000 votes.
