“Bayrminiz kutlu olesun”, which wishes the holidays, has congratulated incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, today's morning Turks celebrating the National Sovereignty and Child Festival Day.
A century ago, Turkey was occupied by several major world powers. Taking advantage of the empire's inability to defend itself, other countries attacked large parts of Turkey. But, for the good luck of Turkey, the people and its friends, 100 years ago, on April 23rd 1920, Mustafa Kemal, Ataturk, amid the war declared the National Great Assembly, tore Turkey away from the Ottoman Empire, and organised the war for freedom and independence, which won three years later after it freed the conquered parts of Turkey and the largest and most strategic city, Istanbul”, writes Kurti on Facebook.
Kurti, further says the day's “, April 23rd is celebrated by all Turks, as the day of national sovereignty, and as children's holiday”.
Kosovo has found support and friendship in Turkey, as important country NATO, but also as a friendly country of Albanians. Similarly, Kosovo is home to a Turkish minority, with significant contributions to our country. Therefore, on this important anniversary, I want to congratulate the people of the Turkish Republic for a century of sovereignty and parliamentaryism. I wish this date to all of Turkey's institutions, led by President Erdogan, as I wish all Kosovo Turks. Of course, I also congratulate my children, since in Turkey this is also a children's holiday. Happy, for the strong friendship of Kosovo and Albanians with Turkey”, is Kurti's wish.
