The country's incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, along with Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani, paid tribute to the cemetery in Meja in honour of April 27th anniversary of the missing.
Kurti said that Meya is home to the largest massacre of Serbian police and the Yugoslav Army during the recent war in Kosovo, so April 27th marks the Day of Extremed in Kosovo.
376 Albanians of different ages were killed, massacred and kidnapped within the day.
Today, as a result of the circumstances created by COVID-19, the inability to be with the families of those who lost loved ones and those who still expect to know their destiny chose the country's prime minister to be close to the memory of those who are no longer among us.
“Today, 21 years after, the responsibilities whose names have been mentioned even in The Hague Tributal Judges are still at large and live without disturbance in various Balkan countries”.
“We call that once we have access to trial in absentia, these persons will be prosecuted and sentenced meritily for crimes committed”.
“Because family deserves justice, and criminals judge”
