Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Kadri Veselini has welcomed the organisation's report Wild Justice Project, which has ranked Kosovo 54th in the field of rule of law.
Wessel has said that despite extraordinary challenges such as reconstruction after the destruction of war, Kosovo has achieved much in short time as regards rule of law, Periscopi submits.
Wessel's mailing:
A good news for Kosovo is Kosovo's favourable ranking in the latest report of the newly issued Law Rule Index from the prestigious organisation Wild Justice Project. This report measures the performance of rule of law in 128 countries and places Kosovo 54th. What is noteworthy is that Kosovo ranks second among Eastern European and Central Asian countries, leaving behind other countries that have more years of existence as a state and started the democratic transition earlier.
Despite the extraordinary challenges of rebuilding from the disasters of war, state-building and obstacles in the international arena, Kosovo has been able to achieve very little time in terms of rule of law. This indicator is particularly valid as exposing to those nihilist voices in Kosovo, which deny any achievements and progress our country has made, and miss no opportunity to tarnish and unjustly damage our state's reputation. There is no doubt that Kosovo still has a long way to do in rule of law, it can move further on in the fight against corruption, however, it is low to deny the success so far that we have so much potential sacrifice.
